Terms and Conditions of Sale
1. General & Authenticity
- Original Artwork: All paintings offered are original, one-of-a-kind works created by artist Veronica Schmitt
- Certificate of Authenticity: Each original painting includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity confirming its origin, title, medium, and completion date.
2. Pricing & Payment
- Currency & Prices: All prices are listed in USD and are subject to change without prior notice until a sale is finalized.
- Payment Terms: Full payment is required prior to shipping or delivery. Accepted payment methods include credit cards. For local pickup, payment may also be made by check, cash, Zelle, or Venmo.
- Taxes & Duties:
- Local sales tax will be applied at checkout where applicable.
- For international orders, the buyer is solely responsible for any import duties, customs fees, or taxes imposed by their destination country.
3. Shipping & Delivery
- Fulfillment Time: Orders are typically processed and packed within 3-5 business days of cleared payment.
- Packaging: Artworks are professionally packaged to prevent damage during transit.
- Tracking: All shipments include a tracking number.
- Transit Delays: The Artist is not liable for shipping delays caused by carrier disruptions, customs processing, or incorrect addresses provided by the buyer.
4. Copyright & Intellectual Property
- Retention of Rights: Purchase of an original painting transfers ownership of the physical artwork only. The Artist retains all copyright and reproduction rights to the image under applicable copyright laws.
- Restrictions: The buyer may not reproduce, scan, alter, or create derivative works from the painting for commercial or public use without explicit written consent from the Artist.
- Exhibitions: The Artist reserves the right to create promotional materials featuring the image of the sold artwork.
5. Returns, Refunds & Damages
- All Sales Final: Due to the unique and delicate nature of original artwork, all sales are final.
- Damaged in Transit:
- In the rare event that an artwork arrives damaged, the buyer must contact the Artist within 48 hours of delivery at veronicaschmitt@me.com
- Clear photos of both the damaged packaging and the damaged artwork must be provided to arrange a resolution (repair or full refund depending on severity).
6. Colors & Representation
- Display Accuracy: Every effort is made to accurately display the colors and textures of the paintings. However, slight color variations may occur depending on screen settings and lighting conditions.
